Alisha Pattillo is a freelance saxophonist based in Northwest Arkansas, USA. Her tenor sax sound is lush and full, with an impeccable tone. Pattillo is equally comfortable conjuring the raucous energy and volume essential when playing R&B, Rock and Soul. Born in Australia and raised in Singapore her journey as a musician began at the age of 11 when she started playing the saxophone at the United World College of S.E Asia. It wasn’t long before her talents launched her into professional bands on the Singapore Club & Bar scene. Pattillo went on to earn a Bachelor of Music from Australia’s prestigious Queensland Conservatory of Music. Alisha moved to Houston TX in 2008 and was quickly embraced into the jazz and blues scene there, where she was an in-demand sideman and band leader. In 2018 Pattillo relocated to Northwest Arkansas where her multi-genre talents and professionalism were once again recognized by the community of musicians and music lovers. She performs as a side man for multiple groups and hosts her own jazz series Sundays 6-9p in the intimate venue, The Cork & Keg in Fayetteville. Though her tastes are expansive, Pattillo’s passion lies in leading her own electric jazz fusion ensemble. Here is where her musicality and experience present an outlet for her to bring it all together, as witnessed by her 2023 album release, “Chromazone – Alisha Pattillo”. This high energy band performs a blend of styles with repertoire ranging from jazz fusion to modern pop. In addition to performing, Alisha has a strong commitment to “passing it forward” as a dedicated professional educator with two decades of teaching experience. Currently Alisha teaches saxophone adjunct for Bentonville schools in addition to a long list of students attending her private studio. Alisha is an endorsed artist with mouthpiece manufacturer ‘Theo Wanne Mouthpieces’, and woodwinds manufacturer, ‘Antigua Winds intl.’
