EUREKA WATERS is the trio of Soul/Jazz/Pop pianist and singer-songwriter Michael Waters from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He has worked as musician, composer, songwriter and producer with various American artists such as Patti Labelle, Nona Hendryx & Sarah Dash (Labelle), Billy Preston, Jennifer Holiday, Lisa (Nina’s daughter) Simone & Morris Pleasure (Earth Wind &Fire).
He has performed live as a solo Jazz pianist, singer/ songwriter as well as keyboard player in various local and international performing bands. By way of New York, Los Angeles and Tulsa, he found his way to Eureka Springs, AR, where he is currently living and working as a music producer and musician.
For his band EUREKA WATERS, Michael combined forces with bass player Aaron Mashburn and drummer Tim Pope.
Tim Pope is a Los Angeles native drummer, who has performed all over the world with some of the greats like: Ray Charles, Chubbie Checker, La Toya Jackson and Tony Orlando. He currently resides in Branson, MI and is the grooving backbone of the band.
Aaron Mashburn is a NWA native bassist, currently living in Nashville TN. If he’s not on stage with EW, you can find him in the studio, mixing and producing or on stage with the Larry B Soul Experience or Funk Sensation.
Paul Price is a well known jazz and fusion guitar player in NWA, he has performed with various local bands as well as internationally. He is our 4th band member for the night!
EUREKA WATERS plays an eclectic mix of Soul, Funk, Jazz, Pop and Folk originals and covers. As a composer and producer Michael Waters worked for a range of Neo Soul, Jazz, and Pop artists and he performs songs from his own catalogue as well as newly written material for this band. Mixed with covers from artists such as Curtis Mayfield, The Crusaders and Al Jarreau to Jamie Cullum, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan.
Intimate ballads to slow-dance to. Folk songs to listen to and Jazz/ Funk and Soul tunes, to dance to. We can adjust our sets, depending on the venue, crowd and occasion.
