Our mission is to provide accessible and high-quality music education, fostering
a unified community celebrating the richness of Black musical traditions.
Music Moves is dedicated to advancing the appreciation, understanding, and preservation of Black Music through education and performance.
Black music and art have made significant contributions to global culture and have had a profound impact on American music and art. From the blues and jazz to hip hop and R&B, Black musicians and artists have created styles that have influenced and inspired generations of musicians and artists across the world. Black music and art have also been a vital means of cultural expression and political activism, giving voice to the struggles and triumphs of the Black community. Music Moves has developed curriculum, programs, and performances to continue to share the legacy of the most innovative people in the world.
