Music Moves and The Music Depot are two sides of the same rhythm—one focused on preserving and educating through the rich history of Black music, the other providing a stage for artists to create new memories. As a volunteer photographer, you’ll play a vital role in documenting the energy, passion, and joy that define our events.

What You’ll Do:

• Attend Music Moves and The Music Depot events to capture high-quality images of performances, audiences, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Work closely with our team to ensure key moments are documented for promotional and archival purposes.
• Edit and deliver images in a timely manner for use in social media, marketing, and future event promotions.
• Maintain a respectful and professional presence while engaging with artists, guests, and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for live music, community, and storytelling through photography.
• Experience in event or performance photography (professional or hobbyist).
• Ability to work in dynamic, low-light, and fast-paced environments.
• Access to a professional camera or high-quality mobile photography equipment.
• Willingness to collaborate and contribute to the Music Moves and Music Depot mission.

VOLUNTEER DOOR HOST

Creating a welcoming experience for every guest

Music Moves and The Music Depot are two parts of the same family—one dedicated to preserving and educating through Black music history, the other providing a stage for live performances and community events. As a volunteer host, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they feel welcomed, informed, and part of the experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet and welcome guests with warmth and enthusiasm at Music Moves and The Music Depot events.
• Assist with check-in, ticketing, and directing attendees to their seats or designated areas.
• Provide information about the event, venue, and upcoming performances.
• Help maintain a positive and engaging atmosphere throughout the event.
• Offer support at merchandise tables, VIP sections, or special event activations as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Friendly and outgoing personality with great communication skills.
• Ability to engage with diverse audiences and provide excellent guest service.
• Willingness to assist in various hosting roles, from door greeting to table hosting.
• Dependability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for music, community, and creating memorable experiences.
